PROJECT CONNECT JAMAICA
In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa Jamaica’s western coast has been left decimated. World-renowned destinations like Montego Bay and Negril have been catastrophically affected. Southwestern coastal cities like Black River, Savanna-la-Mar and Treasure Beach, which are monumental cities in Jamaica’s history, now lie in ruin. Here at CHGFWD we are collaborating in real time with organizations on the ground in Kingston, as well as in the affected areas. Please revisit our site for updates of our emergency assistance progam, PROJECT CONNECT JAMAICA. We are working tirelessly to make sure we can properly assist those with the greatest need at this time.
Below are items we will be needing in the next few days. For convenience we will be providing drop off locations as well as publishing our Amazon wishlist.
- Non Perishable Food Items
- Medical Supplies
- Hygiene Products
- Solar Electronics and Power Banks
- Portable WIFI Solutions
- Prayers and the Power of Social Media
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 11/4/25
The Change Forward Foundation is actively developing and executing a comprehensive plan to support disaster relief efforts in West Rural Jamaica. This initiative is designed to provide a multifaceted approach to delivering technological and humanitarian support to communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
We are committed to a plan of accountability and transparency in the management and distribution of all acquired resources. Our operations will be carried out in full collaboration with authorized local organizations and governing bodies to ensure alignment, efficiency and respect for community structures.
Through this effort, we aim to restore connectivity, empower resilience and bring hope and relief to those displaced by the hurricane.
Here in Florida we adhere to all the state and federal laws regarding corporate structure, fundraising, and operations of a 501(c)(3). Documents related to activities and finances of non-profits are public records and must be made available for public inspection. This is a key requirement for maintaining tax-exempt status.
